Brand Identity Design

I love typography and pattern and wanted to honor these elements in my own brand identity. When considering a logo mark, I wanted to use my initials in a way that showcased the simplicity of the letterforms. After several hand sketches and revisions on tracing paper, I looked at the relationships between the dots, ears, and tails of the j and g. The studies resulted in a single mark with several variations, creating a brand identity with flexibility and fluidity. These variations were then used to create line art patterns for background elements, business and promotional stationery, and simple animations.
